Soybean Quality Issues in 2009

After a warm period in early September, crop maturity was slowed by rain, and in some areas snow. The state experienced a hard freeze on Oct. 10 and 11. Judging Teams Finish Second and Third

The Iowa State University Crops and Agribusiness Management teams placed highly at the recent North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA) Judging Contest in Wooster, Ohio. In the four-year college division of the contest the Crops teams placed second and the Ag Business team placed third. The crops team is sponsored by the ICIA. More

 

2009 ICIA Scholarship Recipients

Iowa Crop Improvement Association recognized five Iowa State University students as scholarship recipients at their annual meeting on February 11, 2009. Adam Bierbaum (Griswold), Grace Lockard (Oelwein), Matthew Vandehaar (Altoona), Keaton Krueger (Crawfordsville) received $1000 scholarships from the association. Katherine Frels (Guthrie Center) was awarded the $1000 seed science scholarship. More
