Leaving the Agronomy Department?
Agronomy Exchange
If you currently have an Agronomy Exchange (Outlook) account, there are a few things you need to do. Your Agronomy account
will expire shortly after you leave, and it's easiest to take care of everything before you leave to ensure your continued
email delivery.
- Make sure your ISU email isn't forwarding to your agronomy account. Go to https://asw.iastate.edu/cgi-bin/acropolis/user/mail-delivery
and make sure either the first option is selected, or you are forwarding to another email address.
- After you have made the changes and allowed them to take effect (overnight), you can archive your agronomy
mail to a PST (personal folder) file. If you would like help with this, the Baker Lab can do this for you and put your mailbox
on a CD or DVD. You can then open the PST on any computer with Outlook. A guided tutorial on creating a PST can be found
at http://www.agron.iastate.edu/service_labs/bakerlab/helpguides/Outlook
- Once these steps are completed, your Agronomy email account will be disabled, and all email will be delivered to
you according to the options set from item 1.
ISU NetID
Your ISU NetID and email account will be suspended approximately one year after you leave Iowa State.
