How did you become interested in Ag? I come from a city where I graduated
with over 550 other people. In high school I took horticulture classes in
high school and had a nice sized garden for a city kid. I always wanted to go
into working in genetics but working with human genetics posses a lot of problems.
I enjoyed working with plants so I figured I would work with plant genetics
and developing new varities. Your prior work experience: ·
Biological Research Assistant for the USDA
2010-current Hobbies/Interest:
Fishing, Crafting, Watching Football
(Green Bay Packers), and getting involved in my sorority (Kappa Delta) What do you think are some of the challenges in the future of
agriculture? With
the population growing and the amount of farm land decreasing I think the
biggest challenge agriculture will face is being able to produce enough food
to feed the world population. I feel that developing new varities and
improving farming methods will be key components in facing this challenge. |
