LESSON 2a: WEATHER EFFECTS ON CROPS

INTRODUCTION

Corn develops most rapidly when temperatures are between 86°F and 93°F when adequate moisture is present. When moisture is insufficient, crops can be stressed. The first part of this lesson will discuss moisture stress on a corn crop and one fundamental method for estimating soil moisture.
