Agronomy Students Win National Crop Judging Competition

The ISU Crops Judging Team won first and second at a national agriculture competition in Texas. The students competed in three North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA) contests held April 16-18. The team is sponsored by Iowa Crop Improvement Association. More

Allen and Saienga elected to serve on ICIA board

Chad Allen of Winterset and Scott Saienga of Story City were elected to each serve a three year term on the board of directors. Allen is employed by Allendan Seed in Winterset, Saienga is employed by MBS Genetics, LLC of Story City.

ICIA Announces Scholarship Recipients

Iowa Crop Improvement Association recognized five Iowa State University students as scholarship recipients at their annual meeting on February 13, 2008. Leah Ruff (Farmersburg), Katherine Frels ( Guthrie Center), Joshua Billerbeck (Reinbeck), Andrew Phillips ( Lake View) received $1000 scholarships from the association. Jess Cavin (Sigourney) was awarded the $1000 seed science scholarship. More
