Low Linolenic Soybeans

Iowa Crop Improvement Association offers a seed certification program to assist producers of low linolenic soybean seed. The association has worked closely with Dr. Walter Fehr and the Iowa State University Research Foundation (ISURF) to develop a system which will assure that the integrity of the seed in maintained during the seed production, conditioning, and marketing phases. In addition, ICIA provides the traceability that is critical in this seed production program.

ICIA serves as the lead certifying agency for this program with ISURF. Field applications should be made to the state certifying agency in the state where the field will be planted. Information on seed production procedures for these varieties can be found at Seed Production Procedures. For additional information on low Linolenic acid soybeans or applying for certification visit the 1% Low Linolenic Soybean Oil website or contact us.
