I am from Bangalore, India. I got my undergraduate in Biotechnology from Visvesvaraya Technological University, India and then moved to US to pursue my higher studies. Here I obtained my Masters in Biology from University of Missouri- Saint Louis and then came to Iowa State University in spring 2009 to do my Masters in plant breeding. Plant science has fascinated me right from undergraduate days. My undergraduate research experience in plant tissue culture and molecular biology lab encouraged me to get involved in the plant science research. Since then I am thoroughly enjoying working in this field. My research interests include corn breeding, nitrogen usage efficiency and statistics.
Apart from studies, I enjoy playing cricket, soccer, watching cricket matches (Indian Premier League), talking to my parents and friends.
