My name is Constantin Jansen. I come from Germany and do not drink beer. It is my first year on my PSI fellowship in Iowa and I already like it even though hockey is played on ice not on grass where I am used to play it on. 2006 I worked in Minnesota and 2009 in Germany breeding sugar beets. Now I am back in the USA to do my PhD in corn breeding. I focused on cob characteristics for biomass production considering genetic resources and elite material. Another field is nitrogen use efficiency where QTL shall be revealed.
