Soil mineralogy and chemistry

Investigations of soil inorganic chemical processes and soil mineralogical properties in relation to soil and environmental quality. Specific research areas include; the influence of inorganic soil constituents on sorption and abiotic degradation of pesticides, interactions between crystalline swelling and cation exchange selectivity, NH4 fixation in clay minerals, soil aggregation processes, and quantitative soil clay mineralogy.
