c. Receiving transgenic callus
Maize:
Transgenic event as callus culture can be provided upon request. Transgenic callus cultures are derived from Hi II immature embryos infected by Agrobacterium or bombarded by biolistic gun. Bialaphos resistant callus are selected and bulked up on selection media.
Callus culture in Petri dishes containing plant media will be shipped to customers 3-4 months after the date of transformation experiment by FedEx overnight service. Remember that the callus culture cannot be shipped without your APHIS interstate movement permit/notification number.
