We are happy to
welcome you to Introduction to Soil Science this semester. The
learning methods we use are very different from most of the other
courses you will take at Iowa State University. In order to
ensure that these methods increase, rather than hinder your learning,
we want to explain them to you. The format we use allows us to
offer three parallel introductory courses:
- Agronomy 154 -
Fundamentals of Soil Science
- Agronomy 155 - Soils
for Horticultural Scientists
- Agronomy 156 - Soils of
Urban Use
While all students will learn the same basic soil
principles, students in these classes will sometimes be engaged in
different activities, will take different hour exams, and at times take
different quizzes.
