The ISU
Student Organic Farm is located 4 miles north of Ames, IA on highway 69 and 1.5 miles east as part of the ISU Horticulture Station.
Our main vegetable crops are rotated between two one-acre plots that are planted in a cover crop during the off-year. The rest of the area is occupied by a hoophouse, toolshed/packing area, composting area, outdoor classroom, and areas devoted to perennial crops (raspberries, strawberries, herbs, asparagus, etc.). |
