Acetyl Coenzyme A Carboxylase
(ACCase) Inhibitors

There are two important herbicide families that inhibit the acetyl coenzyme A carboxylase (ACCase) enzyme, a key enzyme in fatty acid and membrane biosynthsis. They are:

Aryloxyphenoxy Carboxylylic Acids | Cyclohexenones

Although these families differ in their chemical structures they both inhibit this key group of enzymes.
