Weeds are the winners, the survivors, the promiscuous colonizers. One of the best
examples are the Foxtails (Setaria spp.). This species-group has adapted in
habitats around the world after its early beginnings in Africa.
So sit back in your chair, or better yet on top of a foxtail panicle like this adventurous
grasshopper, and take a cruise around the world with one of the most successful organisms
