EEB 585 Extended Field Trip 2006:
The Wisconsin-Iowa Mississippi River Coast

Seminar Organization

A weekly seminar is required by all participants to prepare ourselves for the field trip.  As such, at the beginning of the semester we will identify and assign key biological and ecological topics for our classroom discussions.  This may include the geology of the Mississippi River, biota by category (e.g. birds of the river), etc.  Each student will present a topic and lead discussion in preparing all the students for the field experience.  Organization and preparation for the web site of our observations after the trip will also be conducted.

Participants.  An unusual aspect of this trip will be the invitation and inclusion of several faculty members to provide expertise and leadership.  All EEB faculty are invited to attend both the classroom seminar and the field trip and help guide our river observations.  At this time several faculty have indicated a commitment to the trip:
