About
As Laboratory Director of Iowa State University-Soil and Plant Analysis Laboratory (ISU-SPAL), I provided leadership for the operations of the laboratory. The laboratory provides a wide range of research quality analytical services for agricultural, environmental and biological samples using state-of-the-art analytical techniques to a wide ranges of users, such as: farmers, home gardeners, landscape managers and crop consultants in Iowa, extension educators and research community within Iowa State University and other institutions and agencies from Iowa and the nation.
I teach Soil-Plant Growth Relationships (AGRON 354), Soil-Plant Growth Relationships Laboratory (AGRON 354L) and Organic Cpompounds in Soil and Plants (Agron 259) to undergraduates on campus and an online course Soil-Plat Environment (AGRON 512) for MS Agronomy Program.
I have a deep interest in developing methodologies and techniques for advancing agricultural, environmental and biological testing. My research is based on a user-oriented philosophy. For that purpose analytical methods related to soil, plant and water testing are continuously upgraded and critically evaluated to support new research programs and emergent demands of the community and stakeholders. We constantly develop, modify, and implement analytical methodologies to keep abreast with the ongoing research and clientele demands.
