The department storyteller. From a scientist's major breakthrough to a student's experience abroad, Tracy takes great care in sharing the stories of our agronomy family with the world.
Tracy started her role in November 2016, but her experience with Agronomy began over a decade earlier. She worked as an hourly for Dr. Kendall Lamkey's corn breeding lab as an undergraduate. She may have been a journalism major from across the parking lot, but she spent a year harvesting, shelling and counting kernels of B79 by hand. Her time spent in the field with a corn hook and mesh sorting bags remains one of her favorite memories from college.
As the communication specialist, she develops the strategy and messaging for the department. She lives by her color-coded planner and can't function without coffee and a good pen.
