Agronomy alumnus named top researcher in Argentina

Dr. Fernando Andrade, an agronomy alumus in crop physiology, has been awarded a Houssay Prize for 2020, while also being awarded the Top Researcher in Argentina for the past year.

These are the highest distinctions granted by the Argentine scientific system, and are awarded to those who, throughout their careers, contributed to producing new knowledge, developing innovations with a social and productive impact, promoting the transfer of knowledge and the training of human resources.

Andrade, who earned both his MS and Ph.D at Iowa State, has dedicated his life to teaching others and research, who has more than 110 published papers with more than 6,000 citations.
