I am out of the office on extended leave through 3/7/2023.
Agronomy Shared Labs:
Reservations:
- All Equipment/Space Reservations – please continue to sign up on the Agronomy Shared Lab website. Reservations will be updated daily at 9PM by Dani’s undergraduate student worker Enio Garcia (ebgarcia@iastate.edu).
- Wiley Mill Grinding Room Reservations – please continue to sign up on the Agronomy Shared Lab website. Reservations will be updated daily at 9PM. (Cancellations and changes need to be sent to dwilson@iastatate.edu AND ebgarcia@iastate.edu).
Billing:
- All regular monthly billing for the Agronomy Shared Lab Daily Use and Wiley Mill Grinding will occur after Dani’s return from leave.
Equipment Issues:
- Equipment breakdowns need to be reported to Dani and Enio and please post a sign with the equipment indicating that it is broken or needs repaired so others area aware. Website most likely will not be reflective of broken equipment like normal.
- Equipment repairs in most cases will not be immediately fixed. Please do not attempt to fix yourself!
User reminders:
- Lock lab doors, remove trash when needed, no food/drink in labs, remember to sign up for equipment.
New users of the Agronomy Shared Lab:
- If you have not been through the Agronomy Shared Lab Information session with handbook and user agreement, please plan to attend a session upon Dani’s return.
- No new keys will be issued for personnel while Dani is out of the office since site specific training is required to use equipment.
Cold Storage (Room B0515) Organization Project:
Dani’s undergraduate (Enio Garcia: ebgarcia@iastate.edu) will be working on cold storage organization.
- Faculty who have discussed their cleaning efforts with Dani prior to her leave of absence already have a plan in place.
- If you have not spoken with Dani about your detailed plan, please update me with your progress of removing samples and consolidating your samples into the same area within the cold storage room.
