George Washington Carver Day
February 1
The second annual George Washington Carver Day will be observed on February 1st with a celebratory program at Iowa State. The highlight of this year’s program will be a special performance by Paxton Williams, who will be in character as Carver, telling his story “in person.” If you’ve ever seen Paxton perform his one-man play on the life and times of Carver, you know how educational, entertaining and inspirational it is.
